Catherine: Nous sommes le jeudi 12 novembre 2015. Bienvenue pour un nouvel épisode de News in Slow French !
Rylan: Bonjour Catherine ! Bonjour à tous nos auditeurs !
Catherine: Dans la première partie de notre programme, nous parlerons du résultat des élections parlementaires en Birmanie qui se sont tenues le 8 novembre. Nous parlerons d’un scandale de dopage de grande ampleur impliquant les athlètes russes. Nous continuerons avec les pires feux de forêts que l’Indonésie ait connus depuis des décennies, et pour finir nous conclurons la première partie de notre programme avec la sortie la semaine dernière du 24ème James Bond : « Spectre », avec l’acteur Daniel Craig.
Rylan: Comme tu l’as sans doute deviné Catherine, je suis allé voir le film. Je dois dire que je l’ai vraiment bien aimé.
Catherine: Est-ce que tu aimes l’acteur Daniel Craig dans le rôle de James Bond Rylan ?
Rylan: Oui beaucoup. Il a incarné un James Bond très populaire depuis qu’il a commencé en 2005, et selon ce que je viens juste de lire il est appelé l’acteur de James Bond le mieux payé de tous les temps.
Catherine: Intéressant ! Mais continuons à faire les annonces pour notre programme. La seconde partie sera consacrée comme toujours à la langue et à la culture françaises. Dans la partie grammaticale du programme nous reverrons : Le Présent simple, Verbes du deuxième groupe, et nous conclurons l’épisode d’aujourd’hui avec une nouvelle expression idiomatique « Redorer son blason ».
Rylan: Très bon programme Catherine !
Catherine: Excellent, Rylan ! Si tu es prêt, que le rideau s’ouvre !

WHAT TO REVIEW FOR DBA

You have to know how to conjugate Être , Avoir, Faire, and aller in the present tense. (see attached for review)
- Review how to make sentence with adjectives (masc/fem/plural)
- Be able to answer questions about what you like at school, what is your favorite class and why, what you have seen in your classroom.

Reflexive Verbs (how to conjugate a reflexive verb) je me lave, tu te douches, il se brosse, nous nous couchons, vous vous levez, elles se maquillent
Adverb (jamais/souvent/toujours/parfois – full list on the help site module 3)

All about the Passé compose
The passé composé is a compound conjugation, which means it has two parts:
present tense of the auxiliary verb (either avoir or être) YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO CONJUGATE BOTH IN THE PRESENT TENSE!
past participle (PP) of the main verb
Je suis partie, elle a mangé, j'ai eu, tu as été
if you use être then the PP is in agreement with the subject. elle est allée
if you use avoir then the PP agrees with the direct object if the direct object is placed before the verb. ie. Elles ont mangé des pommes. Elles les ont mangées DBA 5
